This Wimbledon is really throwing some surprises. After Djokovic's shock exit, its the turn of Maria to be sent packing by a lowly ranked fellow russian.Kudryavtseva did play some exceptonal tennis, but it was more of a case of self destruction by Maria. Hope she too comes back strong in the other tournaments.
From the Wimbledon report:"Sharapova committed eight double faults, three of them in one game in the first set, served poorly throughout and never managed to get her forehand working effectively. Meanwhile, all Kudryavtseva had to do was play steadily, throw in the occasional inspired shot, and she was home and dry for the biggest win of her career."
