Sita Sings The Blues

Came across an awesome movie titled "Sita Sings the blues", one of the most creative and amusing take on the Ramayana. The creator Nina Paley has melded her own emotions and thought processes beautifully and woven a perfect animated, humorous but at the same time interesting story. Read "Rajeev's recco" also about the movie, I assure you, you will not be disappointed watching this movie, but just keep your religious sentiments aside and watch it purely for the creative and artistic expression. The movie is available free on the internet as it is covered under the Creative Common Attribution-Share Alike License.

According to Nina:"You don't need my permission to copy, share, publish, archive, show, sell, broadcast, or remix Sita Sings the Blues. Conventional wisdom urges me to demand payment for every use of the film, but then how would people without money get to see it? How widely would the film be disseminated if it were limited by permission and fees? Control offers a false sense of security. The only real security I have is trusting you, trusting culture, and trusting freedom."

Do visit the site here for multiple options to watch and download the movie:

You can also  catch the complete 10 part movie on youtube here:

PS: The OST of the movie in parts sounds like the signal that Hritik Roshan uses to call the alien Jadoo, in "Koi Mil Gaya", remember the "Om, Om, Om, Om" mumbo jumbo...... Is it only me or you also thought the same... drop in your comments...
